  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil

  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1/2 cup beef broth or water

  • 1/4 cup milk or cream (optional, for extra richness)

  • Cooked pasta, for serving

  • Set your Instant Pot to sauté mode.

  • Heat olive oil, then cook onion, carrot, and celery for 3–4 minutes until softened.

  • Add garlic and cook 30 seconds.

  • Add ground beef, breaking it apart, and cook until browned.

2. Add Tomatoes & Seasonings

  • Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, basil, oregano, and red pepper flakes.

  • Pour in beef broth or water.

  • Taste and season with salt and pepper.

3. Pressure Cook

  • If desired, stir in milk or cream for extra richness.

  • Taste again and adjust seasoning if needed.

5. Serve

  • Spoon sauce over your favorite pasta.

  • Garnish with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan.
